SwimSafer 2.0 Programme
Swimming Instructors in Eastern Swim are certified to conduct the SwimSafer 2.0 programme, a national water safety programme introduced by the National Water Safety Council (NWSC) in 2010 and revised in 2018. It comprises of 6 progressive stages, which are aimed towards teaching water survival skills and swimming proficiency to children to minimise possible drowning in open waters.

STAGE 1: INTRODUCTION TO WATER SKILLS
STAGE 2: FUNDAMENTAL WATER SKILLS
STAGE 3: PERSONAL AND STROKE DEVELOPMENTAL SKILLS
STAGE 4/ BRONZE: PERSONAL SURVIVAL AND STROKE IMPROVEMENT SKILLS
STAGE 5/ SILVER: INTERMEDIATE PERSONAL SURVIVAL AND STROKE REFINEMENT SKILLS
STAGE 6/ GOLD: ADVANCED PERSONAL SURVIVAL AND SWIMMING SKILLS PROFICIENCY
SWIMSAFER 2.0 ASSESSMENT
The SwimSafer 2.0 assessment comprises of 2 components, practical and theory test. Swimmers are required to pass both the practical and theory component in order to receive their respective stage completion certificate.
To attempt the theory test, swimmers have to log on to the following website : https://members.myactivesg.com/swimsafer/ and login by filling up their particulars.
Before attempting, swimmers are encouraged to read through our STUDY GUIDE.
As it is an unlimited attempt quiz, participating swimmers are encouraged to achieve 90% and above score to ‘PASS’ which will be indicated by a “Well Done!” pop-up.
